What is the minimum order quantity for France?
500 cartons per SKU is the standard minimum. Several SKUs can be combined into one container, which is the usual way to start a French launch without overcommitting on a single flavour.
Who is responsible for compliance in France?
Your importer is the food business operator named on the pack and handles the customs declaration and French packaging obligations. ACMFOOD supplies specifications, certificates of analysis and traceability records. Confirm your own obligations with DGCCRF or your customs broker.
Does the label have to be in French?
Mandatory information must be given in French for the French market. We plan artwork around this from the first draft, because retrofitting French copy into a layout designed for English usually means redoing the label.
Is Nutri-Score mandatory in France?
No, it is voluntary. In practice many French retailers and consumers expect it, so it is worth deciding early. The grade depends on the recipe, which is far easier to adjust during formulation than after the formula is signed off.
Does EVFTA reduce the duty on beverages from Vietnam?
EVFTA reduces tariffs on a staged schedule, so the rate depends on both the HS code and the year. Check the current schedule for your specific product rather than assuming duty-free entry, and prepare origin documentation to claim the preference.
Which port should my shipment go to?
Le Havre for the north and Paris region, Marseille-Fos for the south. Many Vietnamese shipments also enter through Rotterdam and move on by road. Transit time affects the shelf life remaining on arrival; our products carry 18 to 24 months depending on product and format.
