Soursop sells under a different name in almost every market that drinks it — graviola, guanabana, corossol — and demand for it has moved well beyond the specialty aisle. Supply has not kept pace. The fruit bruises easily, ripens fast and has a narrow harvest window, so most processors treat it as a seasonal concentrate item and few will commit to year-round NFC volume. For a distributor trying to hold a soursop listing on shelf, that unpredictability is the whole problem.
Why Soursop Is Hard to Supply as NFC
Handling soursop as not-from-concentrate means moving it from field to press before it deteriorates, which is only workable when growing regions sit close to the plant. The 250ml short aluminium can removes the cold chain from the equation. Sealed and light-proof, the product holds for 24 months at ambient temperature, which lets a distributor stock a fruit that would otherwise be impossible to keep listed outside its season. The can is also light and unbreakable, keeping freight and damage costs down on long routes.
Stock artwork prints English, French and Arabic — useful for a fruit whose name changes by market. Private label buyers take the full can surface and can carry whichever local name their consumers recognise, with the declaration adapted to destination labelling rules.
